ANTHONY BRUNSON

OUR MOTTO--HELPING PEOPLE LIVE HEALTHIER LIVES!

I was born March 28,1962 in Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg NC. I am what some may call a military brat because I am the daughter of a retired Military Officer.  Weight was never an issue for me during my school years, because the school system kept me very much involved with sports and other physical fitness activities. It was after my high school graduation from Seventy-First Senior High  in 1980, that my weight problems began. Little by little over the years, the pounds increased. When I graduated from high school, I weighed 145 pounds and I was a size 8. Over the years after my high school graduation, my weight eventually climbed to 248 pounds. I was never happy with my weight gain, and  I always  wanted to do something about it, I just needed guidance and direction so I could know how to proceed so I could succeed. When I met my husband Anthony, best friend, and the love of my life, he gave me the guidance and direction I needed so I could succeed in my weight loss. My husband had been in the health and physical fitness  field his entire life, and so he became  my personal trainer in helping me GET FIT FOR LIFE!  I was truly privileged to have a  personal trainer so close in the family--RIGHT AT MY FINGER TIPS! I signed my first gym contract on February 18,2001,and it was then that I began my journey down the road to heath, life style change and physical fitness. I truly wanted to experience successful healthy weight loss and maintain it as well. I had so much to learn and so many changes to make so I could lose the weight and be healthy. I was 39 years old at time, and since I had no major health issues, I felt I  had the time on my side to take the  SLOW PROGRESSIVE ROUTE. This is why I encourage people to  make changes before they experience health problems, because depending on a person's state of health, they may not be able to take the SLOW PROGRESSIVE ROUTE. Sometimes, due to serious pressing health issues, a person may have to STEP IT UP A BIT, which means they may have to make more  drastic changes more quickly because their life is literally on  the line because of the severity of the health issue they are dealing with at the time. I always tell people, not to let it get to this point.

As I began my weight loss journey, I started  setting short term goals, and as I would reach a goal, I would set another one. Then I began setting long term goals which I eventually reached. In  2008 I met a long term goal of losing over 100 pounds! I was  thrilled to go from 248 pounds at a size 22 to 135 to a size 4. After I lost over 100 pounds, my husband encouraged me to write a book about my weight loss success. So in 2011 I wrote the first edition of my book with the title:
FROM AUNT BEE TO BARBEE, HOW I ACHIEVED SUCCESSFUL HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS. I have since written the second edition of  my book with the title:  FROM AUNT BEE TO BARBEE, HOW I ACHIEVED SUCCESSFUL HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS, SECOND EDITION IN 2014.  Like my husband, I have done Personal Training, but now my husband and I have crossed over to Fitness Consulting because it gives people the guidance and direction they need to succeed with health and physical fitness and also because it makes a great contribution to our health care system.

I was born September 11,1951. I am a native of Brooklyn New York where I lived for many years before moving to Fayetteville.  I am truly grateful, that from a early age my mother taught us the importance of good nutrition and physical fitness. I have been a member of a fitness center since my early teenage years. After joining my first fitness center, I soon realized that I wanted to take physical fitness to the next level, so I began preparing myself to participate in the New York City Marathon. This was truly a very exciting time in my life to be able to participate in a noteworthy event such as this, and at the same time, receive health and physical fitness benefits. Competing in the New York City Marathon was a wonderful experience. After competing in the New York City Marathon, I decided to take Body Building to a whole new level. I began preparing for my first competition and I was trilled when I won a trophy for 2nd place! Over the years, as time passed, I was often time approached by family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers asking for assistance with exercise and healthy eating because they knew the life style of health and fitness that I lived and they would often seek advice on how to exercise and eat healthy. So I decided to become a  Personal Trainer so I could better assist them. I also acted as a sort of Coach to them, instructing and  training them in the fitness center as well as giving them guidance on healthy eating and lifestyle change. In recent  years, my wife and I have often been  approached by peopled seeking guidance and direction, because they see the life of health and fitness we live, and so we have decided to cross over to Fitness  Consulting because it is a great contribution to our health care system.
