BENEFITS OF WEIGHT TRAINING  1

Weight training should be a regular part of your weekly exercise routine because it improves health and quality of life.Weight training will have a significant impact on helping your achieve and maintain successful healthy weight loss and physical fitness. One of the medicinal benefits is toned muscles and a  higher metabolism. Toned muscles give the skin a nice firm, smooth look, and this certainly makes for healthier looking skin. Having a higher metabolism from weight training comes with it's own benefits. A higher metabolism improves heart and lung function. A higher metabolism helps you drop clothes size faster. Your body also will burn extra calories while you sleep with a higher metabolism. Another benefit of weight training is that it can reverse the natural decline in your metabolism which begins around age 30. As we age, we tend to spend less time in physical exercise, which contributes to the decline in our metabolic rate. But the good news is that the more physical exercise we get, and in this case we are talking about weight training, the higher our metabolic rate can be even as we age.  I was thrilled to learn that my metabolism can still be good as long as I stay physically active in exercise. One of my favorite benefits you receive when you weight train is that it energizes you!. Having more energy is a very unique benefit you receive from weight training. Often times over the years, I suffered from lack of energy, and even nowadays I hear people often express their concern of lack of energy. It is beneficial to know that weight training can give us the energy we need to function from day to day.  Energy is one of the most important limiting factors in accomplishing your goals in life. Weight lifting helps to energize you because this will automatically lead to weight loss, which means you carry less weight around, and because you carry less weight around, you will have more energy. This was true in my case. My  weight started to climb in my late 20's and early 30's. I just assumed  my loss of energy  was due to the fact  that I stood on my feet for 8 hours a day on the retail job I had at the time. It was not until I lost over 100 pounds that I realized why I had loss of energy. It was due to the excessive weight I was carrying around. Excessive weight is not the only reason people experience lack of energy and so it is informative to know that weight training can be the medicine you need to cure this ailment!
